We had some summer adventures in our motorhome where we traveled with friends, explored new places and saw God’s glory displayed in delightful ways...everywhere.

One day we set out to find the Grand Traverse Lighthouse and upon arriving discovered there was a beautiful old lighthouse (now a museum) and there was also a new lighthouse. As you can see from the pictures, they look very different.

I’ve since thought a lot about these lighthouses and while they look totally different, their purpose is still the same. They are to light the way. These lighthouses serve as a navigational aid and are to warn boats of dangerous areas.

Yes, God has used these lighthouses to preach to my heart. As believers, we are to be lights....we are to serve as a navigational aid so others will know the way, the truth and the life...Jesus. We are also to warn those around us of the dangers. We might be a young version or an old version! But you know what? As lighthouses for Christ, our purpose is the same no matter what phase of life we might find ourselves in! Shine on brothers and sisters....shine on, shine bright.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
